Former owner/director of legendary Yardbird Jazz Club in Birmingham and now Arts Centre Manager of £2.8 million National Lottery Heritage Funded project 'Sound & Art St Swithun's' in Worcester, Ollie Lloyd's passion for creating and keeping a happy dancefloor stems from 28 years of DJ'ing, record collecting, radio presenting, event graphics creating and promoting at various venues in the UK and Europe, as well as his own institution in the Birmingham leftfield club scene for 9 years.
Ollie now curates events for arts and music venue, St Swithun's in Worcester, a grade I listed church and community project supporting emerging local artists and musicians, as well as running his own nights 'Braziliance', 'The Yardbird Sessions' and 'Home Cookin'' at various venues across the Midlands.
Ollie's sets dig deep into heavy-weight Latin and Brazilian nuggets as well as more contemporary dancefloor dynamite rhythms and beats, always on vinyl and mostly 45s.
